Where do you find the freshest local produce from the farm? The Farmer's Market of course! Many small local grower and mid-sized New England farmers bring their vegetables, fruits and berries to the local Farmer's Market. There are many of these "shopping centers" all over Northern New England.
It's well worth the stop. A great place to meet people and find home-baked goods, seasonal fruits such as fresh New England berries as well as maple syrup and much more. You'll find an assortment of locally grown fruits and vegetables, handcrafted items, some organic produce, and always a new surprise. The selection varies with the season, and the values are usually quite substantial.
New England makes it special, as the saying goes and many New England farmers make it to the Farmer's Market. So should you.
